The view of Cape Hedo from the top of the mountain is wonderful!

It is more than just a place for sightseeing.
Long ago, it was called “Asmui,” a holy place in Ryukyu myths.
Even today, there are many spots where people go to pray.
The park has good walking trails, so even beginners can enjoy trekking easily.
In this place, you can feel the beauty of nature and a mysterious power.

The best part of trekking is The Big Panoramic View from the Observation Stage!

It is a little hard to climb the hills and stairs to get here, but this wonderful “reward” is waiting for you.
Be sure to take a lot of pictures!
Highlight 2: A Labyrinth of “Unique and Giant Rocks” Formed Over 200 Million Years

When you walk in the forest, you will see many strange and giant rocks.
Some rocks look like animals or people, and some rocks look like they might fall but keep a perfect balance.
It is fun just to look at them!
These rocks were made over 200 million years.
They look very powerful and alive.
Let me show you some of these Unique Rocks.
The Firmly Standing “Goku-Rock”

This is “Goku Rock,” which looks like it is pointing straight at the sky.
It has an atmosphere like the place where Sun Wukong from “Journey to the West” was born.
Its grand shape is truly a piece of art made by nature.
The Rebirth Stone: Purify Your Mind and Body by Passing Through 3 Times

There are many spots in ASMUI Spiritual Hikes with mysterious legends.
One of the most popular spots is the “The Rebirth Stone.”
To do this, you walk through a narrow gap between large rocks 3 times.
The first time, you leave your bad past behind.
The second time, you reset your mind.
The third time, you are born again as a new person.
It is said to have such a special meaning!
Full of Mysteriously Shaped Rocks!

There are many other Unique Rocks too.
This is a Unique Rock that looks like an animal.

While you walk, it is fun to use your imagination and ask, “What does that rock look like to you?”

The most famous thing there is a Giant Banyan Tree called “Ugan Gajumaru.”
It is one of the Largest Banyan Tree in Japan, and it looks very powerful!
The branches grow down like a beard and spread out to cover the area.
In Okinawa, people believe that a spirit named “Kijimuna” lives in Banyan trees.
This place is very holy, and people have come here to pray for a long time!
