carried out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another major feature is that it incorporates a unique architectural style different from mainland Japan, influenced by exchanges with China and Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The red roof tiles and vivid vermilion buildings give visitors a sense of an exotic atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2000, it was also registered as a <span class=\"swl-inline-color has-swl-deep-01-color\"><strong>World Heritage Site<\/strong><\/span> as part of the \u201c<span class=\"swl-marker mark_orange\"><strong>Gusuku Sites and Related Properties of the Ryukyu Kingdom<\/strong><\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shuri Castle has been loved by class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is said that when messengers arrived from China, the King himself would go as far as the Shureimon Gate to welcome them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This gate is also <span class=\"swl-marker mark_orange\"><strong>an independent gate that is not connected to the castle walls<\/strong><\/span>, combining Chinese architectural style with Ryukyuan red roof tiles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is also <span class=\"swl-inline-color has-swl-deep-01-color\"><strong>popular as a photo visitors to Okinawan Castles (<span class=\"swl-inline-color has-swl-deep-01-color\"><strong>Gusuku<\/strong><\/span>) will surely be surprised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The walls, built using techniques called \u201c<strong>nozura-zumi<\/strong>\u201d and \u201c<strong>aikata-zumi<\/strong>,\u201d combine both <span class=\"swl-marker mark_orange\"><strong>strength and beauty<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They also have <span class=\"swl-marker mark_orange\"><strong>excellent defensive functions<\/strong><\/span>, allowing enemies to class=\"swl-marker mark_orange\"><strong>Arch Gate<\/strong><\/span>,\u201d with a <span class=\"swl-inline-color has-swl-deep-01-color\"><strong>wooden turret<\/strong><\/span> built on top of an mark_orange\"><strong>Zuisenmon Gate<\/strong><\/span>&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">IT is a \u201c<span class=\"swl-marker mark_orange\"><strong>Yagura Gate<\/strong><\/span>,\u201d with a <span class=\"swl-inline-color has-swl-deep-01-color\"><strong>wooden turret<\/strong><\/span> built on top of the divided stone walls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can find the famous spring water called &#8220;<span class=\"swl-inline-color has-swl-deep-01-color\"><strong>Ryuhi<\/strong><\/span>&#8221; along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I will introduce it later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Differs depending on the location of the walls (inner or outer)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"899\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are the <span class=\"swl-marker mark_orange\"><strong>Inner Walls<\/strong><\/span> (Inner Enclosure) and the <span class=\"swl-marker mark_orange\"><strong>Outer Walls<\/strong><\/span> (Outer Enclosure).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Inner Walls are older, and the Outer Walls were added later, so they are newer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kankaimon Gate on the <span class=\"swl-inline-color has-swl-deep-01-color\"><strong>Outer Side<\/strong><\/span> is an \u201c<span class=\"swl-marker mark_orange\"><strong>Arch Gate<\/strong><\/span>,\u201d while Zuisenmon Gate on the <span class=\"swl-inline-color has-swl-deep-01-color\"><strong>Inner Side<\/strong><\/span> is a \u201c<span Parking<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are many general parking lots near Shuri Castle, with prices ranging from high to low.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among them, my top recommendation is <span class=\"swl-inline-color has-swl-deep-01-color\"><strong>&#8220;an unmanned parking lot&#8221;<\/strong><\/span> that charges only <span class=\"swl-marker mark_orange\"><strong>500 yen for up to 12 hours<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although it is about a 10-minute walk to the castle, it\u2019s a great deal because the
